After spending a wonderful week with my son in Texas, I'm home again frantically trying to finish up the garden and catch-up on housework.
While I was gone the peas, beets, radishes, lettuce, spinach, and sunchokes sprouted! Yesterday I was able to hoe around these and get the lawn mowed. One of my sons also rototilled the area of the garden for me to plant the green bean seeds. Today we have had rain, so they will have to wait a few more days. Because of the cool and wet weather we've had the cabbage and broccoli are looking great.
