Chapter 5: Too Good To Be True: Freedom from the Bondage of Perfectionism
I’ve always been amazed at how each of us assumes everyone else has her act together. This seems to be especially true of stay-at-home moms and even more so of home school moms. I remember walking with another home school mom once and just mentioning something awful that had happened, I can’t recall what, her response was relief that my children were not perfect scholars. It reassured her that she wasn’t a failure. Why are we so obsessive about appearing perfect?
