1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1/2-cup butter, softened
1-cup sour cream
1 tsp. Baking soda
1 tsp. Vanilla
Flour to thicken, approximately 3 3/4 – 4 1/4 cups
Mix all ingredients together. Dough will still be slightly sticky. Place in refrigerator and chill overnight or several hours.
Roll out on floured board. Cut in desired shapes. Leave plain or sprinkle with sugar.
Bake in slow oven 275-359°F. Makes about 60 cookies.
