Stepping Heavenward by Elizabeth Prentiss (9)

Who is disappointed more when I am impatient and grumpy when speaking to my family? Katy’s husband Ernest, consoles her after she looses her self-respect when she blows it.

Aren’t we quick to self-condemn? We feel degraded in the sight of God. And we are sure no other mother, at lest not Mrs. So and So, ever does such a thing.

No woman is perfect. Ask God’s forgiveness, ask those you offend for forgiveness. Then seek to eliminate the extra pressures you are putting on yourself that cause the impatience and grumpiness. God’s loving kindness is new every morning!
