What He Trusted Me With, part 3

Contentment and the lack thereof are contagious. If we are not radiating a grateful and contented heart, we put burdens on our husband that pull him down, not build him up. When your husband buys or has you buy something do you realize the work and time it took him to provide the finances for this item? Take-out food for a family can easily cost 1-2 hours of your husband’s time at work. Would you rather have the convenience of the one-time take-out meal or the 1-2 hours of your husband’s time spent at home with you and the family?

Are we content with his likes and dislikes? We should be. God created each of us with unique likes and dislikes. These are a part of who we are and how we are to accomplish God’s plan in our lives. If we view our husband’s likes and dislikes as part of what makes him unique, we will be able to joyfully serve him by taking his likes and dislikes into consideration. It is a opportunity to please him; to fulfill that trust he placed in me.
