Mixture of Musings

Not having posted for almost a week I have this mixture of musings floating around in my head. So pardon the mixture of not related items.

My dear husband just received his spring bloodwork. (We have it done with the local Health Fair's service to save money.) His tri's were down 100 pts! His cholestrols were adjusted to the better some too. PTL. What had we changed? Probably so many things we won't know which did the biggest benefit. But the changes are helping. We eat mostly game meat with some chicken. I've cut back the amount of beef to an average of once a week. In January I cut our sugar content way down. I'm currently baking breads with only honey. When I have to make a dessert I use less refined sugar. He is daily taking: 4 fish oil, 1 niacin, 1 Coenzyme Q-10, 2 vitamin C, and 1 Calcium combo. The cost of all these is still less than the meds the Dr. kept wanting to prescribe. And we did not want the side effects of those medicines. And we having been recently getting non-homgenized milk from a local dairy that hormone and steroid free. For only about 50 cents more a gallon. That is a deal!

Yesterday I received "Passionate Housewives, Desparate for God" I began reading it this morning. The first two chapters have been excellent. How I wish this book would have been around several years ago. I know of a couple that just divorced and I think the lies of the "Christian feminists" had a lot to do with it.

Easter Sunday, we were loaned the DVD of "Flywheel" it is done by the same church, Sherwood Baptist in Albany, Georgia, that did "Facing the Giants." It is their first full-length film project. Excellent storyline. Definitely watch and then watch it again with the Kendrick brothers' comments. Thank the Lord they have a biblical agenda! (Still shaking my head, remembering the person who said there is no agenda.)
