Bountiful Baskets

This was the regular Bountiful Basket for Saturday July 3 (Western Wyoming). The regular basket generally has six fruit items and six veggie items.

Mini watermelon, cantsloupe, 7 nectarines, a bag plus of Granny Smith apples, pineapple, 7 bananas,
Romaine lettuce, celery, 7 ears of corn, bag of Brussel Sprouts, 2 heads of broccoli all for $15.00 plus $1.50 handling. Opps, I forgot tomatoes too. And there was an add-on case offer of 12 pint containers of Blueberries for $20.00.

If you think that might be more produce than you can eat try splitting with a friend or only order as often as you need. One of the nice things about Bountiful Baskets is you do not have to order each week. You only order when it works for you! You can also put some of the produce up in the freezer. I froze most of the blueberries by rinsing them then laying them out on a cookie sheet to freeze. Once frozen they were measured into quart freezer bags. I also blanched and froze the Brussel Sprouts.

Bountiful Baskets is a co-op run by volunteers in Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Washington, Texas, and Wyoming. You order on-line early in the week and then pick-up on Saturday morning at the site you ordered for. To check out the details go here.
