Bible Bee Awards

Last Sunday, our Bible Bee contestants received their awards in church. Also one of our contestants put together a Powerpoint slideshow of the pictures we-judges took during the competition. Our local first place finishers all received a high quality Bible in their version preference. Second and third place finishers received books or a CD with themes connected with the preciousness of God's Word. Some were biographies of those translators or missionaries who worked on translating the Bible to a new language. (English was once a "new" language for the Bible!)

Two of our contestants went through the test verification process! And our first place finisher in the Primary Level is planning to compete at the National Bible Bee in Washington, D.C. November 4-6. Is his family excited! We are all excited for him!

The most encouraging aspect of the Bible Bee is the growth we saw in the contestants. You really could see positive character growth in the ones who studied their Bible over the summer.
