It is beginning to look like spring! There are fluffy white clouds in the soft blue sky, the roof is dripping on both the south and north sides of the house, birds are chirping in the trees, and oh-no the mud is starting to show in the road in the last few days.
I’m sure we will have more snowstorms and the foot and a half of snow in the yard will not completely disappear instantly. And the daffodils won’t bloom till May here. Yet, the slightly warmer temperatures led to me to take action yesterday and “Welcome Spring.”
I put away the February Valentine decorations and put up a quilted wall-hanging of tulips, and got out the matching hot pads for the kitchen. Then I decorated the glass in the living room French doors with spring “window stickers” (clings) of ladybugs, butterflies, birds, and flowers.
Anyone have a great idea on how to “Welcome Spring?”
