Stepping Heavenward by Elizabeth Prentiss (6)

We judge others by the outside, yet want judged by the “inside.”

To be consistent would mean perfection. But don’t you tire of finding yourself a hypocrite. I do. I find myself judging others by what it appears they are doing, never considering the thoughts and motivations behind their actions. Yet, I expect everyone to know why I am doing what I am doing. Others can’t read my mind and heart anymore than I can read theirs.

God knows every thought. If I would get this truth I would be focused on pleasing Him, being true to Him. Being judged by others would no longer be a concern.
