Titanic Resources

We are preparing to have "The Last Dinner" on the Titanic Saturday night to remember the 100 year anniversary of the tragedy.

We've asked family and friends to come as a person from the crew or passengers dressed in 1912 attire and to bring a dish for the menu.

Here are some sites for learning about the Titanic:

Vision Forum has several books, movies, and is hosting a special event in Missouri.

This site is the best we've found for biographies with links for everyone aboard the Titanic

Sense and Sensibility patterns has posted information about 1912 clothing.

There are many books available:

Walter Lord's A Night To Remember seems to be the standard. Vision Forum and Amazon both offer the movie of the book in DVD. There are survivor interviews included.

An unusual book I found through the library, that we using to create our dinner is, Last Dinner of the Titanic. It has the First Class, Second Class, and First Class' Restaurant Dinner Menus for Sunday, April 14, 1912. Most of the recipes are included. And tips for hosting a Titanic dinner.

If anyone else has resources, events, or ideas I'd love to hear!
